1 The Monocled frown

1.1 An explanation

We are very keen to generate content from zynth users and as it's also really helpful to upload all kinds of content when demonstrating, testing and fault finding the project, so we have tried to establish an utterly nonenforceable deal with people that request help that they upload a sound sample as a thank you. In the ever-evolving worlds of Open-Source community the mechanism of gratitude is still in early Alpha, so we submit this mechanism, as a sort of RFC (Request For Comment).

Rather than appoint a detailed technical committee to meet every six months in exotic tropical locations, a detailed discussion took place on a couple of bikes, bombing round Barcelona whilst dodging tourists. The upshot of this was to promote a grumpy miserable old crazed enforcer who could, with the manners of a goat, insist on users submitting their contributions.

Guess who got that job? and who is typing this :-D

So that's really what we want to do.

Get people to submit as much content as possible, which is the sort of thing that attracts Internet attention, which increases footfall . .

So if you feel intimidated or angry or just confused, then apologies. It's probably best regarded as an opportunity. We get to confirm that another zynth is out there and you get to make content on the web. And as I've always promoted a 3 step approach to events . . . Never, Once, Many, you might have the chance to transit the first two of these, and gain the confidence to further to the third. :-)

1.2 A small extra note.

Well concepts evolve, and a partial crazed world has grown up around our befuddled enforcer. It has been implied that individuals who don't provide suitable samples have been known to virtually slip from some of the higher buildings in this falsy fabricated fetid world...

Join in if it work for you, ignore if it doesn't :-D

The rook soup is not good and there are probably bells involved...

1.3 Another small extra note

The moustachio emoticon was originally associated with this concept, to the extent that it could be used on it's own with the link and people understand. A source of great joy to it's maintainer.

But.... as part of rash moment, during a new years resolution, which was actually stuck to, it was decided to never use emoticons, ever again, cos they were becoming a lazy response, and effectively broke the "Never tell a joke twice" axiom and surprisingly this has been adhered to. Such principle in one so sly!

What this does mean is I have to find increasing convoluted way of producing a textual link, so if you have arrived here in any form of emotional disquiet then, please, accept my apologies. It's a work in progress. And will probably have audio bells in the background at some future time...

The rook soup is no better, but thankfully pretty rare nowadays...

However, it will be cooked if the demand raises above the background noise.

1.4 Yet Another small extra note About reporting things

There has been a report issue facility added to the webconf home page.

Report ISsue.png

It smooths the process on reported errors and fills in most of the configuration for your current machine which saves a lot of messing around on both sides We are even more interested in issues than we are about content and you know how keen we are on that. . . So please do.

Anyway if you do find yourself direct here by our increasingly senile guardian then you will find that he re-directs you to an obscure developers page instruction on how to write out a report....

How do I start an issue then...?

This is nothing more than a pathetic attempt to increase footfall on his own pitiful write ups, and it all gets' peculiarly meta from there on in . . . Treat with the contempt it deserves but failing that do have a go at reporting an issue. . .

Here's the link again...

How do I start an issue then...?
