On the top-right corner there is a small area where some useful information is shown in real time:

The red X flag is shown when there are Xruns. You should hear clicks and pops too ;-)

Finally, when the red V or T flag is shown, your zynthian is working in a degraded state, with the CPU frequency capped to 600-800 MHz, trying to stabilize the system and avoid a hang-up. You shouldn't see any of them and if you do so, you should consider looking for a better power source (under-voltage) or using a heat sink (over-temperature).
