File:Arranger Mini Tutorial 12.jpg|14. Next up we’re going to finally make those Zynpads get to work. With your cursor still sitting on the first row, access the arranger menu (tap top bar) and let’s add another track. If you added a track to the wrong pad row, no problem, you can go back to the arranger menu and delete the track then move your cursor up to the 1st row again.

File:Arranger Mini Tutorial 13.jpg|15. Notice the second track has the number ‘2’ to the right of the pad. This means it’s track 2 launched from pad 1 (A1). Now change the selector to pattern 13 and add the kick pattern to the second half of the row as shown.

File:Arranger Mini Tutorial 14.jpg|16. Going back to Zynpad view you can now tap or click the pad to launch the whole sequence. If you then bold-SELECT on the pad (back into arranger view) you’ll see the red playback line running across the patterns in the sequence. Listening to this playback, you may have noticed a problem! If you’re looking closely you see the label of the second track still says E BASS 1 (the instrument chain) which means it’s taking the drum pattern and playing a bass sound (because we haven’t changed the midi channel)

File:Arranger Mini Tutorial 15.jpg|17. With your cursor on the track 2 row, let’s open the arranger menu and change the midi channel to the track we’re after.

+
File:Arranger Mini Tutorial 16.jpg|18. Adjust with taps or rotate the encoder to get the correct channel. In this case it’s channel 4 with the TR606 drums. You should notice the label/header has changed and the drums playing now we’ve set the correct midi channel for this track.

File:Arranger Mini Tutorial 17.jpg|19. Now it’s rinse and repeat, you can enter some more patterns on pad A2. Here we’ve got track 1 filled with the bass pattern (1), track 2 with the arpeggiated pattern (5) and track 3 with the 2nd drum pattern we created (at 14). Hopefully that all makes sense, you can go back to the beginning to see the steps to add patterns.

+
File:Arranger Mini Tutorial 18.jpg|20. With those patterns entered, back in Zynpad view you can bounce back and forth between pads A1 and A2 to play the two sequences that we created! Feel free to go ahead and use the pad A3 to add another collection of tracks (and insert the chord patterns). Hopefully you’re on your way to your basic song and have a better understanding of how Zynseq with Zynpad and Arranger views work together.
